FAQs
Is your service available in all 50 states?
Laws make it complicated. Your evaluation can only occur while physically within Florida, but your prescription can go to any U.S. pharmacy. STAY TUNED! We plan to grow rapidly!
Will my insurance still pay for my medication at the pharmacy?
Yes.
What if I left my prescription bottles at home and am on vacation, so the refills would be early. Will my insurance still cover my medication for early refills?
Usually, yes. Just ask your pharmacist for a “vacation override.”
Does RefillMeSTAT fill controlled and/or narcotic medications?
NO. Period. Don’t even ask.
I’ve been out of my blood pressure medication for 5 days and have a headache. Will RefillMeSTAT refill my blood pressure medication in this instance?
If you can show us a current blood pressure from a home or pharmacy machine that is LESS THAN 160/100, we may consider it if you have no other symptoms. Otherwise, you will be referred to the nearest ER.
I haven’t seen my doctor in a while and have been out of my medications for a year. Will RefillMeSTAT restart me on those medications?
Unfortunately not. This is not appropriate or safe medical care. A lot of medications require lab testing and/or monitoring. You need to be established with a doctor and see him or her ASAP. You need to have been on and tolerated the requested medication within the past three months (confirmed by us contacting your pharmacy) to be eligible for a refill. In addition, extra steps may be required (such as current blood pressure from a home or pharmacy machine, or current blood glucose from your home glucometer) before we refill certain medications.
I have a CHRONIC/RECURRENT medical condition that is flared up…such as chronic back pain WITHOUT new injury, UTIs, gout, Crohn’s, asthma, fever blisters, etc, or a KNOWN cause of a rash such as “poison ivy” or sunburn. Will RefillMeSTAT treat me with what my doctor usually puts me on?
You will be evaluated over a video visit and asked a series of safety questions. If the provider deems your condition to be a true exacerbation (“flare”) of a chronic and recurrent condition and you are not experiencing a medical emergency, the medication MAY be prescribed.
I have NEW [enter symptom…such as back pain, abdominal pain, headache, chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness, weakness, etc…]. Will RefillMeSTAT prescribe me new medication?
Unfortunately not. You are symptomatic with a new condition and need to be evaluated and examined in-person. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER immediately. RefillMeSTAT is NOT an online doctors office. It is a prescription refill service.
